All our lever back ear wires are Sterling Silver or Gold filled; this is a layer of Gold electro-plated over the base metal to prevent allergic reactions. Gold fill contains approximately 50-100 times more Gold than Gold Plate, it does not tarnish and it can last a life time, even when worn every day.
