About the Designer

LEDO 1911-1980
Italian goldsmith Ralph Polcini founded the Leading Jewelry Manufacturing Co, in New York in 1911. In 1949 he changed the name to Ledo.
When Raplh Polcini died in 1954 his son Damon took over and in the 1960's renamed the company it Polcini.
Sadly when Damon died the company downsized and eventually ceased production in the 1980's.
Ledo/Polcini is known in particular for its excellent craftsmanship, and high quality Art Deco inspired designs reminiscent of fine jewellery.
